Also from Tom Moran's story, the real problem, as explained by 16-year old former East Orange public school student Al-Jani Brice:

“I’m surrounded (now, as a scholarship recipient at Immaculate Conception High School in Montclair) by students who want to learn and succeed, who aren’t fighting and cursing and talking back to the teacher,” he said. “Now I have to study. I’m in an environment that can help me succeed. And I want other kids to have this so they can succeed.”

Sounds like a real indictment of the teachers in East Orange, doesn't it?

Tell me again what Christie proposes to cure student populations resistant to learning?
