Cuomo Hearts Christie

…or at least his New Jersey counterpart’s cap on superintendent pay. The New York Times reports today that NY Gov. Andrew Cuomo just proposed legislation that “virtually replicates” legislation pushed through by Gov. Christie. Both limit superintendent pay to $125K in small districts and $175K in large districts. In NJ our largest 16 districts are excluded from the cap. In NY New York City Public Schools is excluded from the cap.

At least this new development placates the fear that the best NJ superintendents would hop the Hudson River to the Empire State in search of greener pastures and compensation. How’s Pennsylvania looking?
