Magnet Schools Score High in NJ

Newsweek has published its “1000 Top High Schools in America” list. Thirty-six of these high-achieving public schools are in New Jersey. The variables calculated are graduation rate, college matriculation rate, AP tests taken per graduate, average SAT scores, average Advanced Placement/International Baccalaureate scores, and AP courses offered. The top ten of our 36 are High Technology in Lincroft, Bergen County Academies, High School of Biotechnology in Freehold, Dr. Ronald McNair Academy in Jersey City, The Academy for Allied Health Sciences in Scotch Plains, Union County Magnet in Scotch Plains, Bergen County Technical, Livingston High School, Ridgewood High School, and Haddonfield Memorial High School.
