Two Charter School Bills Pass Through Assembly Committee

The Record reports that two of the four charter school bills have passed through the Assembly Education Committee. Bill 2806 sets conditions by which traditional schools can convert to charters and Bill 3083 allows for multiple authorizers. See post below for more detail.

And here’s an update from NJ Spotlight, which casts the odds as relatively low that these bills will pass through the Senate.
