This past Spring two of Trenton’s charter schools were closed down for either sketchy finances or failure to make adequate academic progress. Four new charters applied to the DOE for the latest round and three of those four were rejected. According to the Trenton Times, Mercury Online Charter School, STEAM Charter School, and Whole Earth Charter School have been eliminated. Still in the running is Trenton Prep Charter School. Here’s the full list from NJ Spotlight.

All remaining charter schools in Trenton currently have waiting lists.
