Could be. The Trentonian reports on a state arbiter’s ruling that a Paterson elementary school teacher should lose his tenure rights:
It was reported that the ruling cited Paterson teacher Robert J. Carter’s inability to control his students, at times swearing at them or slamming a chair on the floor to stop them from misbehaving. It also said he didn’t supervise them carefully enough to catch them watching pornography online and inappropriately sought bereavement leave when pop singer Whitney Houston died.
Carter’s lawyer will appeal on the grounds that the State didn’t produce the witness list on time and that Paterson Public Schools assigned the teacher to the “worst classroom with the worst students.”
