From yesterday’s press release from Camden Public Schools:
February 2, 2015 — Office of the Superintendent, Camden, NJ – Superintendent Rouhanifard will join Thursday with Mayor Redd and Chief Thomson as well as educators and community partners from across the City to share updates on the Camden Commitment, the 18-month strategic plan the School District released one year ago.
This event is part of the Superintendent’s ongoing efforts to hold his team and himself accountable to the community: every three months since releasing the strategic plan, Superintendent Rouhanifard has released a public progress report.
At the event, Superintendent Rouhanifard will describe the gains that schools have made in the promises included in the Camden Commitment, especially around safety, modern buildings, student support, teaching and learning, family engagement, and Central Office effectiveness. However, with most students not reading or doing math on grade level, nearly half of students not graduating high school, and most District buildings constructed before 1928, Superintendent Rouhanifard will focus on the very significant work that still needs to be done, beginning with ambitious goals at the high school level.
The event will be held this Thursday, Feb. 5th, at 9 AM at Camden’s Woodrow Wilson High School.
