The New Jersey Autism Center of Excellence is asking for help from parents who have children on the autism spectrum and their teachers. Specifically, Principal Investigator Dr. Elizabeth B.Torres of Rutgers University needs parents and teachers to take a few minutes to fill out a survey about your experiences during the COVID pandemic. She’d also like to hear from students with disabilities themselves.

Dr. Torres: “We are seeking specifically to understand whether your student preferred in person video meetings, prerecorded meetings, or printed instruction with varied ways of completing work. One of the goals of this research is to be able to make recommendations to school districts to better accommodate all students with disabilities.”

If you have any questions, please contact Dr. Torres directly at ebtorres@psych.rutgers.edu. If you are ready to fill out the survey, you’ll find it here: https://rutgers.ca1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_cA9iiQ1bhTqxocR.
