Over the last two weeks the New Jersey State Board of Education has approved two people to serve under new Commissioner Angelica Allen-McMillan, who heads the NJ Department of Education.
- Rebecca Lubot will be the new Chief Education Policy Officer. (I don’t know who she’s replacing; I can’t find the position on the DOE organization chart.) Previously she was a director at CN Communications providing leadership for the Research & Development Council of New Jersey and directed a public-private partnership called the Governor’s STEM Scholars, which “bolsters the education and career pipeline, and works to solve the State’s outmigration issues.”
- Lisa Gleason will be the Assistant Commissioner, Division of Academics and Performance, replacing Linda Eno (who had a rocky tenure.) Previously Gleason was Director of Curriculum and Instruction at Wall Township Public Schools. She was also co-founder and past president of the Monmouth County Curriculum Consortium.
