This is a letter from Thomas Arnone of the Monmouth County Board of County Commissioners to Gov. Phil Murphy asking for equitable treatment of adults with disabilities. Arnone notes that the Murphy Administration has opened schools, daycare, sporting events, etc. but continues to disallow the opening of day programs, violating the rights of disabled adults and treating them “unfairly and unjustly.” The group “Open Day Programs for Adults” will hold a “peaceful protest” at the Monmouth County Board of Records on Saturday in Freehold from 11-12:30 to to demand that adults with developmental disabilities have access to essential programming. A change.org petition currently has 6,400 signatures.
