Earlier this week we reported that six high school football players at Wall Township Public Schools (Monmouth County) had attempted to sexually assault a younger player with a broomstick
Now Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office and the Wall Police Department are conducting an investigation into multiple incidents of sexual assaults against female students in the district. No details have been released. The prosecutor’s Office public information officer Mark Spivey said,“juvenile records are by their nature confidential, and therefore we cannot confirm nor deny any details about this matter.”
Meanwhile, in connection with the football incident, three coaches have been put on administrative paid leave and are being represented by the New Jersey Education Association. “An attorney was assigned to the NJEA members involved,” said Dawn Hiltner, NJEA spokeswoman. “We have no further information about what may have taken place.”
Wall Township’s Thanksgiving Day football game against Manasquan is still on the schedule and there are no current plans to cancel it.
