Update: Gov. Murphy just issued the Executive Order. Full text here.
In accord with the Centers for Disease Control’s new COVID-19 protocols, this morning Gov. Phil Murphy lifted New Jersey’s requirements that teachers, school employees, workers at child care facilities, state employees, and state contractors who aren’t vaccinated against COVID-19 must undergo regular testing for the virus.
This was first reported by Advance Media.
Either today or tomorrow Murphy will sign an executive order reversing the state’s mandates that school districts, child care centers, and state contractors must maintain a policy that their employees be vaccinated or face routine testing. For many staff members, in-school preparation starts next week.
