Yesterday the New Jersey Public Charter Schools Association (NJPCSA) announced that Danielle Alpert will join their organization as Senior Vice President of Communications and Advocacy.  Danielle comes to NJPCSA by way of one of New Jersey’s most prominent government affairs firms, River Crossing Strategy Group (RCSG).

“We are thrilled to welcome Danielle as our new Senior Vice President of Communications and Advocacy,” said Harry Lee, President and CEO of NJPCSA. “For the last decade, Danielle has been a top strategic advisor to NJPCSA and has a deep understanding of both education policy and politics in the Garden State. She is a fierce advocate that believes that every child in the State of New Jersey should have the opportunity to attend a high-quality public school that best meets their needs and helps them reach their full potential. I am excited to work with Danielle to take our organization to the next level.”

Danielle brings a wealth of experience to NJPCSA, including previously leading River Crossing Strategy Group’s (RCSG) extensive education practice where she focused the last ten years of her career on improving educational outcomes for all students in New Jersey. Danielle has a considerable network among stakeholders and government officials in the education space and she serves on the New Jersey Council for Young Children, which functions as the State’s advisory council for early care and education. She has been named several times to Former Senate Majority Leader Loretta Weinberg’s New Jersey Women’s Power List and was recently recognized as a ROI-NJ Influencer in the Top Women in Business category.

“I am honored to work on behalf of the 60,000 public charter school students in New Jersey,” said Danielle Alpert. “Every policy issue I have worked on during my career, such as trying to improve New Jersey’s business climate to making healthcare more accessible, has roots in our State’s educational system. To me, there is no more fundamentally critical issue than ensuring every child has access to a great public school. I couldn’t ask for a more professionally rewarding opportunity than to fight on behalf of families seeking to improve their children’s lives.”

“While I can’t wait to get to work for NJPCSA, this moment is bittersweet,” added Danielle. “RCSG is a family and I have been blessed to work with some of the most respected political and policy minds in the country while at the firm, including the brilliant late Jamie Fox.”

“Danielle is a consummate professional and a tireless advocate. She will be sorely missed but we can’t wait to cheer her on as she continues to follow her passion to make education work for all children, regardless of their zip code,” said Eric Shuffler, founder and managing partner of the River Crossing Strategy Group.

Danielle will work closely with T.J. Best as she leads NJPCSA’s communications and advocacy efforts. T.J. currently serves as NJPCSA’s Senior Advisor.
